What you should ask yourself is, after the first remark where he wasn't worried about the baby- *Did you believe him?*, When he reversed himself moments later, were you surprised? He has the classic signs of a sociopath. What's so scary is how the crowd totally suborned themselves to his whims. Was it really funny that he was lying first off? Would anyone in the crowd have believed he was lying before he switched attitude?
