I really wish they would still rate road manners of these tires, might seem like a non issue and people don't care who get 200tw tires, but some people have a car that do 5K miles a year street and then four track days a year and this is still an important metric about road noise and comfort etc will still being able to turn a good laptime. Would be nice if there was some actual ability to quantify wear like a road surface machine that simply weights a tire and runs it for a 1K miles equivalent at speed and heat then they can see how much tread wear happens based on depth loss.

you guys should measure treadwear lost for each tire

My main concern is wear. The continental seem to fits the bill pretty well. I won’t see the time reduction, but I will see longer life carrying me into the next season.

Hey, That is Gingerman Raceway!!! I love that track. Used to race in @24hours of lemons there!

How does the CR-S steering feel in comparison to an RT660? from the sound of things it seems like it should be just as immediate with steering response but lacks some feedback.

"Endurance tires", "Longevity" ;
What is the objective wear rates? Tread depths and tire weight new and used?
What is the subjective wear appearance?
Predicted total laps?

Would like to know how the grip consistency lasts over the course of a 10-15 laps. My AD08Rs drop off in 6 - 7 min but the AD09 is consistent for 20min

Which would be the best 24 hours of Lemons tire?

Its always tough to interpret issues with car balance on different tires. You'd think that balance between under/oversteer would always be the same and better tires wiuld increase grip on all corners equally.

However, i may have an idea as to why the a052 would be more understeery on throttle. It seems that these tires have good longitudinal grip (for acceleration) in comparison with other tires. When accelerating out of the corner, the rear tires may grip up more than the fronts (at least comparatively to the nankang), causing understeer. Just an idea.

I wonder if the results would change much if the test cars had stiffer suspension.

Pls test Norma road tyre side wall test.
Like 225 50 r17 vs 225 40 r17
We want to see the difference pls

did the CR-S require any particularly intensive heat cycling before being ready for testing? or similar to what you'd do with any other 200tw tire? thanks

Whats the diff between extreme and ultra high performance tire?

Funny how the Potenza Race tires are slower than the RE-71RS. You would expect the "race" tires to be the fastest.

I noticed that you are using an automatic BRZ. How is the gearbox on track ? Is it cooled down enough ?

My tyres are spelt differently in Australia.😅

Got the impression this test used multiple cars and multiple drivers. Too many variables to make comparisons. Understeer/oversteer balance can come down to chassis setup and individual driving style. Most people care most about wear characteristics, lap to lap falloff, and road manners. Outright lap times aren’t really that important. Run a full race slick if racing, either TT or wheel to wheel.

Shudda done a separate braking test!🤦😔

A052 and CR-S both need big front camber to shine.... imo not the most accurate test.

Both of these tires should be miles ahead of v730.

No american tires in the test 😮 Did American tires die?
