Our animated historical documentary series continues with a video on the Cyprus conflict of 1974, during which the local Greek and Turkish communities clashed and were supported by the armies and navies of Turkey and Greece.

As my grandmother used to say: "My son, in our time there were no Greeks nor Turkish in Cyprus only christians and muslims" then she would proceed to tell me a story that occured in her village, about a christian mother that had a child and was not able to produce milk for it, so she gave it to a muslim woman, that also had given birth to a child around the same time, to feed the child for her.

My dad was a British soldier who went to Cyprus as a UN peace keeper in the 80s. Said it was the best holiday he ever had.

I'm very biased against Turkey in most cases, but this time it felt to me like they were in the right. The divide was only done after they were denied the existing diplomatic solution.
Why is Turkey seen as the "bad guy" of this war?
