nice summary, much appreciated! I really enjoyed it but I have to mention that you missed three important castles in the mountains, Voufavento, kantara and St. Hilarion and some major monasteries in the mountains too.

So wonderfully well researched, and I loved the delivery style. I found the background music a bit obtrusive. Can you tell me the name of the neo-Byzantine? church that appears at 31:48?

The problem with the concept of power sharing sounds too similar to the Annan Plan and the reason it's problematic is because it legitimises an illegal occupation. As you said in your video, no one other than Turkey recognises the TNRC and that is for a reason.

Fantastic video series, regardless.

More history than Rome and Athens added together. Only problem is financing a trip to see it all.

Even from venicians time we have many words that we use up today, like (scarpa or scarpini) pomilori foratomatos)(strata for road)and many others

This information presented is fascinating and enlightening and much appreciated! I did find the background music interesting, yet felt it difficult to follow information presented. Perhaps if it was turned down so not to compete with the presenter? I do realize backyard music is meant to enhance.

23:50 The reason Mustafa Pasha went berserk is because the turkish prisoners of war were massacred by Venetians which they caught, after surrender terms ottomans got to know what they did to turks resulting in massacre, I believe kings and generals have a great video on that siege.

I thought Phonecian was a name used for the people of the Levant around 4000 to 2000 BC and who came to Cornwall to buy tin (parochial, moi?) A very impressive feat back then. But you talk of a modern Phonecian republic in the relatively modern sense: C13th - C15th? - I look forward to finding out more about it.

Accountant friends in one of the Big Firms, sitting around at a loose end, calculated how much they should steal, if they were so minded, from a client firm. They assumed they would never be able to work again and would have to leave the UK. The amount, in current terms, would have to be in excess of £7 million to be able to live comfortably off the interest paid on that sum, and they would have to move to Northern Cyprus. There wasn't (isn't?) an extradition treaty agreement in force between the UK and Northern Cyprus - the closest place to home.

Useful info if you ever embezzle, defraud, murder someone

Guy of Lusignan is the bloke in Kingdom of Heaven right? The one who makes bad life choices and ends up on a donkey.

Venetians or the PHOENICIANS? The Narrator sounds like he is saying Venitians...?
