he intended to make this RAID 0 configuration in order to increase the read/write speed because there are two disks to write to instead of one, so there is less hardware limitation. it was not to extend the space. you could use one partition if you wanted to, but in the event you wanted to re-image/install just your OS you may run into backup issues. by keeping the second partition, it makes backups for re-image/installs much easier.

Thanks so much. This worked on GA-Z68XP-UD3 perfectly.

Very nice video even if it doesnt cmply to my problems with marvell controller, though I have a second question, how did you do that video recording in bios/boot? I cannot imagine you recored the screen with a vid recorder? Thanks for a very professional video. Neo

For some reason I don't get anything except the X: drive when I go browse for driver :< Even when I put the disk in the drive or press rescan.

Hi, I created a RAID drive and installed windows, but after installing WIndows it is unable to boot. It seems like it doesn't recognise the raid disks. Any help?

Can Marvell drivers be updated through Windows or does it go through BIOS? My mobo still has the 1019 while the 1042 has been released long ago..

Hi, I am at 4:18 in the video and when I try to allocate my disk space, it only gives me 2048 GB and leaves the rest of my 4TB out. When I try to allocate the rest of the memory, it gives me this error: "failed to create a new partition on the selected unused space. [error: 0x80042468]".

Can I fix this somehow in order to get a 4TB partition? I find it a lot more comfortable to use one partition.

Why would you split the drives in half and lose your Raid 0 capacity?
