I love how the anime sometimes makes “fillers” like these, that actually make the story better

Edit: I read the chapter again and the interaction was much sorter, the only thing Blackbeard said was:
“Ze Ha Ha Ha! And Oden was plenty tough!! I get wanting to take out a *big shot* though, commander Ace!!”
nothing more then that.

This anime will just never stop reminding me that ace died and the rats that killed ace, whitebeard and oden are still walking free
