Seems perfect to me! I used a 4 inches corrugated drain pipe (not perforated) to run between the garage and the house. This way, I was able to run one major 220V wire, one more 14/2 wire to control lights outside the garage from inside the house, then a pipe for compressed air. And still have room to run a garden hose in winter when needed... Great job Steve!

I love that you have the balls to make this video and to be very blunt about it keep up the great work!

Those tamper proof receptacles drive me nuts too. Conduit is well worth the effort, nice job Steve.

'Section 12-012 of the code and table 53 the minimum depth without any protection must be 600 mm (or 24 in.). You must also bury caution tape above the depth of the wire'. They're your regulations and pretty similar to the NZ ones.

Hi Steve; The requirement for TR receptacles applies to new or replacement outlets in Ontario. Yes most adults have difficulty with them at least at first. Not to scare you but the last conviction I read of for no permit was something like $1500.00 . Good luck although you probably don't need it.

I bet some fool will tell you it's not deep enough to keep it from freezing. Looks like a good job to me and I'm like you, I hate the tamper-proof outlets. When I remodeled my home that's all I could find too. Keep up the good work!!!

We had to raise and replace all the receptacles in our house after the flood and I used the ones with USB plugs built in. I never have seen tamper-proof ones around here.

Down here in the states if the cable is 18" or half a meter or so it has to be in conduit pipe and tied into a Ground fault interrupter (GFI). If it is 24 " two meters or more it just has to be in conduit pipe according the the US, National Electrical Code (NEC).

Nice series! I buy my outlets from Lowes and they aren't tamper proof. I buy them in 10 packs for ~.61 cents each. I broke a GFI tester trying to plug into tamper proof plugs.

Looks good to me from NC Steve. Time to get that dirt in there. We can still get the regular receptacles and those child proof outlets are adult proof too. 😀👍

We had tamper-proof receptacles in our house and I switch them all over to regular receptacles because the tamper-proof ones are a pain in the butt and they don't stop a kid from shoving things into the receptacle

Yup, I always use conduit running underground wiring. Only one duplex? A man like you needs one every 4 feet.
