Golf Setup - Why It's Important to Have a Perfect Address Position

Find out why it is so crucial to have a perfect golf setup when you address the ball for every one of your golf shots.

Golfers know that our sport is rather difficult, even though it is a closed skill sport. This means that there is no outside interference, for example in the form of another player throwing the ball towards us in what would be an open skill sport. If the ball is not moving before you hit it, how come golf is so hard to master and so hard to produce reliable and consistent shots?

Inconsistency in your golf game and golf shots can oftentimes be attributed to inconsistency in your setup and address position.

You need to get into the same address position every time, using the same golf grip every single time, using the same swing every single time, in order to hope to be able to consistently produce good golf shots, every single time.

If you make small adjustments to your setup without you noticing, these small changes can lead you into hitting the golf ball on the toe or the heel, for example. These shots do not travel very far or in a straight line, ultimately resulting in very inconsistent golf shots.
