I like them catching up to Deku parallels how Deku tried to save bakugo in kamino. From the combination of quirks to propel them forwards, Shoto making the ice ramp to jump up, and instead of Bakugo being the one to reach out to Deku, he had Iida reach his hand out, just like how Deku had Kirishima reach his hand out instead.

Fun fact: when this happened on the manga, there were people who got upset that Bakugo apologizes for being a piece of shit bully who told Deku to kill himself in the first chapter, stating that "A lot of us saw ourselves in Bakugo and the fact that Horikoshi thinks we aren't valid is actually so disgusting". It's a contender for the Most Twitter thing I have ever seen.

I'm not gonna say Bakugou has the best redemption arc, but I will say the character development of redemption is so huge that It helped quiet down all the negative sides of his character personally and I actually appreciated him apologizing to Deku and almost teared up.

This was the perfect arc for Izuku. His obsession was always there, from day 1, to be the self-sacrificing Hero who didn’t care about himself if it meant saving even the most awful person he knew. And now that he’s enabled by power: he takes that mentality to the max, and sees the flaw. The more you self-sacrifice recklessly, the less self there is to sacrifice next time.

I think the part that made me tear up was how deku knew because of danger sense that none of them had a hint of intent to hurt him. which struck deku hard saying for them to please leave
