Hi Everyone,

In this video, I demonstrate how to patch changed gallery rows in Power Apps. I'm using the Excel like grid from yesterday with some changes. This is very helpful for updating records in your SharePoint List.

Thank you for this video. It's working for the most part, but my toggles are not resetting once I save the changes

Hi Mike - I am trying to patch rows inside a gallery like you but i am wanting to patch items that are only being shown in the gallery. How can i patch it for that scenario? In my case, i have a header form and line item gallery that are linked via a related column (one to many). I want to save the items that are for the selected header item. Any ideas?

I like the use of the toggle to indicate which rows need to be patched. Hiding it is a good call (I try not to give users any controls they don't need to avoid confusion), but would suggest something subtle to show them which rows have changed data...like maybe a neutral colored background. With the toggle control, the formula to set the template fill is pretty simple ("If(toggle1, lightgray, white)").

Great video. I'm more of a Power Automate guy and spinning up on Power Apps so I hope this question makes sense. If the combo box selection has the skills in a different order, would you sort and then concat the entries to ensure accurate comparison? Love the toggle idea and the change of border color to indicate which rows are <>. Thanks again.

Very instructive video. Thank you. How do you go about adding new rows of records to your grid from the front end? Any plan on doing another video covering this? (And maybe a possibility of updating some records and adding some new ones at the same time would be even better)

Great video, really informative 😀
I'm patching to a collection and am having an issue where the first record is defaulting the toggle to true on load before changes have been applied. it rectifies itself when saved straight away without making changes.
Also, when adding a new row to the collection using "Collect(col_data, Defaults(TestData))", any changes made to the new row overwrite this first row and leave the new one blank, if that makes sense?

Any ideas from anyone?
Thanks.

I didn't watched the first vid and as I am looking at this, you are using SharePoint List as a direct data source for the Gallery, wouldn't this face delegation issue if the gallery has more 500 or 2000 items?
