Moved to Fallon in 2001..went to Iraq in 2006. Came back in 2011 to Reno..I used to like it, somewhat, but the homeless and the growth spurts with building in every square inch has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I am closing on the sale of my condo next week and moving in an RV park. First stages of my plan to leave Reno. I have a place on the outskirts of Fallon which will be my home base...Nevada isn't what it used to be but then again, no place in America is what it use to be. Every thing is going to hell in a hand basket..there is no escape!!!

I am a 40 year resident of Nevada and worked for the Governor's Office for 13 years so I know a lot about Nevada The narration of this video needs a lot of corrections. First, the announcer did not know how to properly pronounce Nevada, Winnemucca, or Pahrump. He then stated that Winnemucca is the gateway to the Black Rock Desert. Winnemucca is 100 miles east of the Black Rock Desert on a very bad dirt road. Gerlach is the gateway to the Black Rock Desert. He mentioned that Elko was "sparsely populated". Elko has a population of 20, 000 and Spring Creek, a few miles south of Elko, has a population of 15, 000. I would not define a metro area of 35, 000 people as sparsely populated. For the Sparks area, he said that the Spanish Springs area was on the Eastern Side; it actually on the north side of Sparks. He said that the D'Andrea Ranch area was in North Sparks; it is in East Central Sparks. Someone who knows Nevada should go through this video narration with the authors so people do not laugh at the obvious mistakes.

I moved to Anthem Henderson in 2017 and still loving it. I want noise, food, and party the strip is 20 min. Away and I can come back to quiet and peace in Henderson.

Completely neglected to mention that the weather in Reno is 4-seasons, with no extremes in summer or winter + we don't have hurricanes, tornados, floods, earthquakes, or landslides.
Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada

I moved to Las Vegas in 2019. Love it very much. In the other side of Highway 15, it's a totally different environment from the casinos. Varieties of cultures and supermarkets. Cheap food. Astonishing beauty of the Red Rocks Canyon Park nearby. You also have the convenience of casinos: money to create a beautiful city, cheap (direct) flights, good transportation, etc.

As someone who lives in Las Vegas, I think people should visit Reno because it's a beautiful experience (it's way different from Las Vegas lol)

I lived in Carson City and that’s my favorite. It’s a very homey place to live.

Say what you want but Reno will always have more Pro's to living there than Con's. Can't say that about many other places.

Henderson is the safest and one of the most beautiful cities in Nevada. I've lived in Nevada my entire life and Henderson is the best. I've been living in Henderson for years and I always feel safe from criminal activity here. Move to Henderson!!!!

Lived in Reno for many years during the 70s 80s. Lived in several places around USA but, during that time it was the only place I felt safe walking and working around town.

Pahrump - Close to Vegas is also a place worth considering. It is near the Death Valley Park - CA. Plenty to do & can go nuts in Vegas which is an hour's drive. Lots of Old Ghost Towns & old Borax Mines. The lowest point BADWATER ( close - to 285 Ft below Sea level ).

Nevada totally is my Home away from home. Especially Reno During Summer Which I’ll totally be there at the later half of August. And of course Las Vegas for Christmas 🎄. And let’s not forget about the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe!❤ Nevada is totally the best of the West without question! Wisconsin is just as good except for different reasons which is why I ranked Wisconsin and Nevada 2 of the best
