Don’t forget when adding 10ml of the sample water, the meniscus should be on the indicator line for the most accuracy :). Also the tester calibration can be tested using the certified standard kit from hanna. Lastly don’t forget the reagents have an expiration date so make sure you’re testing with good reagents.

My alkalinity checker were meaauring correct. Then I bought new regent and meaaured 2 times with new one it was accurate then checker start measuring 0. I found this video when i was trying to figure how to calibrate it. So what could be the problem? Should i buy new regent? Ps : already changed the battery.

Hint: I find a short side to side rotation of the upright bottle dislodges any remaining small bubbles.

Question: Any idea how often the battery should be changed based on usual usage? (Example “weekly” testing)

I have the Hanna phosphate LR nitrate HR and alk testers. Do you have to calibrate all of these checkers ? I had no idea ? There is no calibration solution that come with the kits !
