As a touring newbie this was not only funny but informative. Thanks Beard Guy... I mean Cy.

I had this exact problem with a rental and thought it was just a shitty binding! Thank you so much for this video 😂😂😂

Hah! I demo'ed some skis with these bindings earlier this season and had this exact complaint, wish I would've known

I want a ski with no limits for inbound powder days (115mm under foot) that charges and playful too, but I don't want a binding that is heavy AF (Duke PT 13 = 1100g/binding). Is the ATK Freeraider EVO able to hold up skiing in bound powder days like at Revelstoke where you are off piste 95% of the day and take the abuse of a high skilled skier? I'm looking at a few skis; Blizzard Hustle 11 (188), K2 Mindbender 116c (187), Faction Dancer 4 (191), Black Crows Anima (189), and Fisher Ranger 116 (187).

Agree these are hands down the best tech bindings. But I also had no idea about this feature after a year of touring on them!

Edit: Have to correct myself, all the ATK evos seem to have the same features I wanted to have with the Fritschis. Only that you have to rotate the heel, but thats not necessarily an inconvenience. Weight with the stoppers brings it home for the ATK.

Meh, if I‘d be in the market for a new setup right now it would be Fritschi Vipec or Tecton all the way. Safe, fairly light, stable setup.
