Yo the stems have always been excellent, I genuinely don't understand why they became considered trash. Slice it up thin and pan fry it with rice and the like, or put it in stir fry. It's tender, tasty and just nice.

One of my struggle meals is broccoli stalks sliced into thin disks and sauteed with garlic salt and a bit of soy sauce served over rice. Cheap and delicious!

Broccoli stem is the sweetest part of the plant. Some people didn’t know that they have to peel the hard skin of the stem so they think it’s not good. 😂

The stems have more flavor than the flowerets, have to peel because the skin is very stringy and fibrous

Love the stems! Try roasting the florets and stems in the toaster oven with avocado oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper (+ 1 tsp water). It's like having a savory dessert!

The stem is my favorite part! One of my nephews love the " tree tops" and would ask for mine, so we'd trade tree tops and " tree trunks" . Lol

I always used the stems for more texture in broccoli cheddar soup after you peel them they get so tender inside and then you save those lovely fleurettes to top.

If you steam your vegetables they come out so soft and tasty. Possibly the best broccoli and cauliflower I've ever had. The stems are bomb when steamed so juicy
