Korean Actresses RUINED Their Faces With Plastic Surgery?

To survive in the super competitive environment like Korean entertainment, talent, of course, is the deciding factor, but it’s not enough to help actresses climb up to higher places, especially those who don’t have outstanding beauty. Thus, they have no choice but resort to plastic surgery.
Surprisingly, many actresses who possess flawless faces, still choose this way to restrain their youth, which then results in loads of side effects when they get older. Can you guess who they are? Which actress's appearance change above shocked you the most? Do you think they should rely too much on plastic surgery to maintain their beauty?

It's weird that everyone in Korea practically gets some procedure done, yet when they find out someone got something done, they bash them publicly. It's so hypocritical.

Respect for Kim Go Eun. She always got criticism due to her looks but she never went for plastic surgery. Even now people call her that she isn't beautiful enough. But she chose to not change herself.

Aging must be brutal for famous people: don't get surgery and you might be cast aside, get surgery and your appearance will be scrutinized by thousands of people, after which you might be cast aside as well.

It's important to remember that a lot of us aren't Koreans living in Korea, so the societal expectations and pressure is just something we're watching from afar. I just hope everyone in the industry is taking care of themselves.
I think it's good to call out harmful aspects of the industry, without attacking the actors, as they're just victims of a harmful industry culture.

I’ve been a fan of Park Min Young and have noticed the difference in her appearance, especially in her latest role. She looks exceedingly thin, and her face hardly expresses emotion., which makes her acting wooden and less believable. Sad. 😞

The problem with Park Min Young is that in the latest drama her face muscles were moving strangely. It will affect the way she delivers her future performances. Her right side of the face is moving like she had a stroke. In the end the plastic surgery will only ruin her. One shouldn't sacrifice their health for 10-20 years of career.

This is why i appreciate Song Jihyo beauty. You can clearly see she's aged with wrinkles (that's actually totally normal), and she's still so graceful and gorgeous. Like her smile is really nice to look at because she doesn't do botox, or even if she did, it's minimal

Park Min Young always be changing. I used to love her way back City Hunter. That's where I first saw her and I find her really cute especially her button nose. Then Healer and I noticed the changes but still minimal and she still radiates the cuteness that I love. Through the years, she seems to be doing more changes and now, she looks completely different. It's kinda sad tbh.

Watching Park Min Young in Healer again... That face or time I guess is one of her "best" look. Though her face kinda looked chubby, it suited her so well and she looked very very pretty when smiling and even when she was crying.

Kim Go Eun never changed her appearance. I'm glad she never did because she is a pure beauty and her acting skills are ridiculously on point.

PMY did look strange to me in her latest drama- and she was playing 30s in that drama so she didn’t need to look drastically young

Yoon Eun Hye is a hugeeee part of why I fell in love with K-dramas. 😢 Let these ladies live. I can't imagine the pressure they go through while being scrutinized by the public eye.

I think societal pressure has a lot to do with it. Korea is all about looks, and being a celebrity, mostly women, they are getting outrageous plastic surgery to keep up with the younger generation of actresses. It's the same here in America, however, I don't think we are that dogmatic about it. The V shape face, the skinny stick body, the powder white skin. These are just a few pressures that I have seen Koreans put on their own. I don't think plastic surgery is a bad thing. If a person wants to make a change, that's fine, but when you abuse it, and you start to look plastic, face not able to move, and also looking old, then these people need to stop with the surgery. Trying to obtain perfection? That will never happen. We will all get old and age. Some people will age better than others. Honestly, Asian people age quite well, just like Black people, and that's without the surgery.

Fans defending them for their plastic surgeries saying "it's their business", "their choice", "it made them happy", don't realize that the celebrities are actually victims and that saying things like that only helps to create more victims. The fact is that those celebrities were pressured into surgeries. And now they have to live with the effects. It's a mental health issue that people are encouraging. The same with the trend of extreme thinness. Fans should understand that even celebrities are human. And instead of expecting "perfect looks" they should ask for "normal, healthy, human looks". We should demand to see celebrities of normal weight, to see the signs of ageing like wrinkles and gray hair. Celebrities are humans and human beings get old. Stop chasing "youthful looks".

Society needs to be careful with all the hate, cancel culture and online bullying. We have lost too many actors to this. Please remember these are real people…

It's the filler. In the last 10 years young women were encouraged to get injectable fillers because it's "not permanent" and "dissolves" over time. Come to find out that it is more permanent than initially believed and it doesn't dissolve over time, it migrates and settles with gravity. This causes the deep/saggy creases in the nasolabial folds and under eyes, jowls, etc. It was also really popular to fill the tear ducts a few years ago. But now plastic surgeons say never to do that because it causes bags to form over time because the filler has nowhere to go. It just pools up making the under eye look swollen and puffy. Unfortunately a lot of female celebrities will be aging very poorly for the next decade or so because of how popular injectable fillers were.

Anyone who wants filler really needs to weigh the long term effects and consider how it will change your face over time. It's not something just to try once and expect it to go back to normal in 6 months to 2 years. There are lasting changes with every single injection, so young people should never treat it like a preventative measure against wrinkles/aging. Just wait until you actually "need" it, once you're at least in your mid-late 30s or early 40s. That's the best time to dabble, because if you start too young you're going to end up like Kylie Jenner, and need to top off your filler every 6 months for the next 20+ years and your face will end up unnatural and doughy looking or you'll be sunken and droopy like some of the actresses here. It's not worth it.

Woah, I think Yoon Eunhye is just aging, like every human does. It's rather ridiculous that actresses are criticized for trying to look young with PS, but when they do end up showing their age, they're also bashed for it. Chubby cheeks/faces tend to sag with age, it looks cute when you're younger, but it's a 'disadvantage' when you get older. Maybe if we didn't condemn women for aging, more actresses would choose not to do PS.

Yoon Eun Hye went through rehabilitation for alcoholism, is normal that people features change during a hard process like that, also she is now on WSG and looks completely different to "the recent picture" she was for almost 2 years out of public
