🎥 About This Video....
I have been wanting to get to this location early for some time and I had my chance. I was using Ilford FP4 and I pushed it to 400 with great results. I just wish I had something as a subject, which means, I need to revisit with a better plan!

It is beautiful over this side of the island. I spent many happy hours when I was younger traipsing over those downs with my camera. Nice pictures.

Lovely vid as usual. There's some bits which would be good example footage for an "introduction to photo composition" class; seeing shapes not objects, avoiding clutter in a scene, & such. Pearls of wisdom...

I don't know much about the IOW at all, but I'm always surprised by your little trips, and how pleasant it is. Good work.

Nice video, what was the developer recipe and developing time?

Very similar landscape to Dartmoor, where I live. One of the loveliest quietest places on earth. (When it's not the holidays).

A cloudy day on IoW! Apparently it’s the sunniest county in England/probably UK. Would like that Pentacon man. It’s on my endless want list of cameras I don’t actually really need. Still have a few I have yet to shoot that I own 🙄🤣👍📸

Lovely photos. FP4 pushed looks great. You need a workers vest when you are doing road shots.

Military Road is an awesome road, and also great to get some record shots before it falls in to the sea!

Hi Roger I need to tell you, I scrolled all your videos up to 7 years ago. Is it possible that you didn’t shoot any infrared film? I mean you have lots of videos and probably I missed it, in case you know what to do next. What do you think? Cheers 🍻

Great video. I have started to rate my FP4 @ 200 iso after doing a few test to discover the correct film speed with Crawley's FX55 film developer. With two developing agents it really helps raising the iso to 200. So it's not pushing the film as such, just making the FP4 slightly more practical to use. All the info was from John Finch at Pictorial Planet and his great book "The Art of Black and White Developing". Let me know if you want to try it and I'll send you some to experiment with.

Still nice pictures. You can be the subject yourself. with a tripod, an umbrella and the Reveni labs remote shutter control.

Have you tried photographing the rocket test site out near the Needles (I think)? I wasn't really into photography last time I went. I know the internal stuff was very very dark, but I remember there being some interesting stuff outside, and i think there were some pretty dramatic cliffs!

Oh I had 3000N, nice camera, I bought it to use my EF lenses. Batteries were hard to find (123 something), I purchased rechargeable lithiums but one died for some reason. Otherwise pleasant experience.
Unsharp masking on your pics is too noticeable to my taste.
Did you try selectively adding contrast to the skies?

If you want a Canon EOS camera that does not pre-wind the film, EOS100 is good, I have one.
