As some major newspapers are declining to endorse this year, The Economist announced Thursday that the outlet is backing Vice President Harris over former President Trump in the upcoming election. Editor in Chief Zanny Minton Beddoes joins Morning Joe to discuss.

The Economist's editor illustrates perfectly the difference between American journalists and many of those from other countries. She takes a world view of the Trump/Harris race, leads a paper which has no partisan affiliation (though is conservative leaning), and she can explain complex issues in a simple way.

And just why is she mediocre? Show me another candidate that has done what she has in 3-4 months. From a standing start to full blown campaign in a matter of days. She has been tutored by a man who has decades of experience in DC and has had an amazingly successful presidency. Mediocre, give me a break
