Filmmaking may seem difficult, but they have potential. I’ve been put down for wanting to be a filmmaker myself but the thing I learned the hard way is that filmmakers need to start somewhere very small. But despite that, I still see hope, no matter what anyone tells me.

You got to be careful, especially for you new to filmmaking, some opportunities will not benefit you, some people will screen you out so you feel left out, but still willing to be some sort of help, I would encourage filmmakers to follow their own path instead of collaborating with others to fit in cause you were apart of a film set with nobody that would never ask you about your ideas and include you,
some will
put you down cause of their own lack of experience and some will envy that.

Hi. You are right in so many things you say Alex! - We filmmakers should also get better in really encouraging and supporting each other as artists. Not as competitors where we wish others to fail (we got much of that here anyway), that creates a toxic environment, but as colleagues. That creates a more creative and fun atmosphere - and most likely result in better films.

Im a amateur filmmaker from Colombia, I really want to turn into pro

tutorials in spanish, especially from Spain are good, but I want to learn in English
because they are the best in the filmmaking area, Im not speak english well yet but
I have a good listening and I understand almost everthing, but sometimes concepts
and words shows up and it has no translation, for example..INDIE FILMMAKER, could
anyone explain me a bit better what Indie means..thank you my world filmmaking community

this guy is a Liar. shame on you. for every filmmaker thats out there even on the low end who is trying to make it into Hollywood all that matters today is how good of a film you have how good is your story. Look at blair witch project it was shit made 250 million world wide so it dont matter just go out there and film the best you can dont let hams like this guy stop you. A film Director takes control on all creativity in film believe in your self to make that vision come to reality on screen. Good Luck Filmmakers!!!
