I'm totally on board with your point, for a long time in my life I have been feeling as a total failure, and it took me a very long and ridiculous amount of time to realize that it's okay to fail as long as you capitalize those failures.

Start another YouTube channel. Showcase your own documentaries and maybe highlight other people's. That way you'd have lots of content. Call your channel something like "Luc'k Documentary" then you can get your own add revenue and sponsorship deals to fund your own passion projects. I'm slowly working my way through your content and really enjoying it. I've recently bought a Sony camera and a lens and have this burning desire to create a documentary of some kind. I'm learning the camera at the moment because it's leaps and bounds ahead of my previous one. Regards.
