LG used to have a 38" ultra-wide "WQHD+" display in the Ultragear line that had a resolution of 3840x1600. IMO, this was the perfect monitor size and resolution for modern gaming. It gives much better PPI and image clarity (especially text) than 1440, but is less demanding than 4K. Alienware had a similar one as well. I'm hoping one of these companies will release an OLED version in this form factor.

Great video! I’ve had this monitor for 2 weeks now. It’s absolutely perfect! The only con is straight panels are ruined for me now. When I look at them (especially straight panel ultra wides) the corners appear to “warp” inwards on the sides. That’s how used to the curve I am. It’s ironic, because I was worried I wouldn’t like the curve. But having used it for awhile now I can say that I love it and would be incredibly sad if I had to give it up.

I just bought one! I've had an OLED TV for years, but never thought an oled monitor was a reasonable purchase. Best buy had it on sale for $999!

The reason to get this at 1440p is for the extra performance and would suit someone that sits further back as I do but the 800R is too much in that case.

I have the 39 inch one and I love it but I also just purchased the Alienware 32 Oled at bestbuy open box for 774 dollars yesterday. I have to admit glossy is great but the ultrawide something about it is good. I might be returning the Alienware because it was open box in excellent condition there is a tiny small dot scratch on it that won't come off. It isn't noticable when using the monitor only when you turn it off and also just knowing it is there.

It's a shame that there isn't a Display driver for this monitor because Windows device only shows this as a generic PNP device, which harms the performance significantly. Also, the user guide lacks detail on how to set things up!
