Next year's version is confirmed to be a 5K2K panel. It will truly be an end game monitor.

Thy should make 4k resolution version too really for such large monitor size. Every new large size monitor products have this issue in 2024... We don't use monitors for gaming only.

Using this monitor as well. Fantastic for photo and video editing, and gaming. Love this monitor.

I'm extremely grateful for your reviews and dedication. Currently I'm a law student, and I've been really trying to find what UltraWide monitor is best for me. I'm only using the new MacBook Pro, and though I spend the majority of my time taking notes, review documents, writing briefs, etc., I want to get the proper monitor without paying for bells and whistle which are no benefit to me. On the side I do a lot of video and sound editing. After watching several of your reviews, I'm really quite sold on this monitor... unless you recommend something different. Thanks!

Nice. Totally get your points re: the stand. The stand is so crucial for space. I use Dell UWs because I focus more on productivity for my monitor than gaming since I stream a lot from my gaming PC to my handhelds and Meta Quest. The extra 90W PD is very nice but I agree for most users not needed. Looking forward to your review of the 52K2 UW.

Great channell and awesome monitor. As you said, the PPI is very low, combined with oled I'm expecting terrible fonts and productivity. 1440p for anything above 34" is no-go (still using 48 LG CX as main monitor)

I have the 39 and it’s great. Still in return period and think im going to try this 45 now that it is $919 and see which one fits me best. Question, all these people complaining about needing more pixels. What GPU or GPU’s are your running to get 240hz on a 4k super ultra wide resolutions?

the problem is pixel density, on a monitor that large the pixels will stand out which isn't easy on the eyes

I tried the Corsair flex version recently. The only issue i had was with the pixel density. Unlike with a qd-oled display where the colour fringing on text gave me a headache as well as the pixel density being low. Really at that size display 3440x1440 is unacceptable. Unless you're literally only ever playing a game or maybe watching a video. Unlike the G9 oled you really can't even begin to do anything productive imo. In some ways it's like using an old school 1080p or 720p monitor. If the next generation is 5k2k like is rumoured, then that's actually endgame for me.

You mention that the Ultrawide/Super Ultrawide monitors display HUD’s in the corners. However, I’d like to point out that many of those games have settings that allow you to bring in the HUD closer to the middle - both horizontal and vertically. That might make a difference in game play for ya. Takes away that Con while still retaining the peripherals

Best review out there, super helpful really ...thanks! Allow me to ask, I am not really a gamer, but I write/read code and text all day as part of my job. Would you recommend this screen for developers? (I'd probably go for the 39" model)

I've had this for a week now, and my biggest gripe is the quality of text on this monitor... idk if that is an OLED thing or the DPI of this monitor. I'm going to keep but that would be the best improvement imo. Also it is 500$ off right NOW at best buy!

I’ve been itching to get a nicer monitor than my non OLED 34” Asus. Price dropped $500 today for Mother’s Day so I gave in and snagged one.

Looks awesome. Already waiting for months to get my hand on here in The Netherlands (Europe). Contacted LG through all channels, but they can't tell when it will be available. They don't want my money 😏

Would you recommend the older model (45GR95QE-B) over the newer model (45GS96QB-B) if it was significantly cheaper? Currently the older model is about $2099 AUD vs the newer model at $2999.

I'm wondering if the change in brightness and HDR is worth the price jump

What if I just won’t go connect an Apple TV 4K and PS5 to it ? Will I be able tu use it to its full capabilities just using it for gaming and tv?

I have a 49" 32:9 and I do this weird thing where I distance my monitor to the point where I can see the entire image without having to move my head, but instead just move my eyeballs, so when I rotate my eyeballs I can see the far sides of the image without using my neck. I still wouldn't mind a bit more vertical real estate, though. But in the video, there's a point made that with the 45" you don't have to move your head to see the sides of the image, but in the comparison image, the 45" is only slightly narrower than the 49". Regardless, I can't wait for the 2160p version of the 45". That'll be an amazing monitor.

Still rocking with my LG UltraGear QHD 34-Inch Curved Monitor (34GP83A-B) 144Hz on a "high-settings" 1440p GPU setup (RTX 4080).

For $1, 000, I don't see the point of getting this. I'll never hit 240hz at 1440p. I'd go straight to a 4K 120hz 38 or 45" curved monitor
