Code-raiding is the best because, not only do you get free loot, you also get a free base.

My best raid story was the accidental one. Late at night and I’ve just died. Freshie gal spawns on the shore by the Svetlojarsk docks. I run into one of the large warehouses and found something (don’t recall what) but I was tired and daunted by the late hour and having to go through another life. I logged out.
Didn’t get to play that survivor again for weeks.
Finally logged back in and the poor girl wakes up literally inside a massive Minecraft inspired wooden castle that is the length of most of those docks and as wide as the rails to the water in the bay. Just so OP and ridiculously huge. The old graphics card took too many minutes to render. But there I was, trapped inside a fortress filled with loot and vehicles and everything my poor freshie soul desired, hmm, except a well full of water.

I've found quite a few times with the 4-dial combo locks that people use their birth year as the code quite a lot. So I usually start at 1980 and work up. Doesn't always work but definitely worth trying as I've cracked them a lot doing this!

My tip for bases is check the base first. I’ve broken into our own base because I noticed a wall we had built a fence on had a lip, letting me eco raid via a small roof. Check the base you are going to raid for these oversights.

Prone and shoot the frame only and the panel and frame will break for half the cost for ammo raiding

Another way is if you know someone is in the base, wait for them to come out and kill them as they are coming out. The door is wide open then lol

You are forgetting one very important thing, which is improvised spear crafting.
The most effective way to use 1 bone or one stone is to create a knive, use it till badly damaged and combine it with long stick to create a spear and use it till ruined.
With one dead player or one item that craft stones (sledge hammer or wrench) You can create a lot od spears

We've watchtower raided a few spots. Including the chernarus prison, I'd give a foot to see the people's reaction when they log in, realise their goodies are gone and there's a tower outside their building 😂😂😂

additional tip: putting 2 plastic explosives inside an IED is the most effective for raiding regarding the explosive methods.

On a server I am currently on I keep getting in over the front gate. The best thing is that the Truck keeps giving me the door needed to get over the wall. 😂 so I pay a visit every few days and get what I need. I kinda feel bad for the dude but at the same time if you can't learn to secure your base then free gear.

The best bases are wall-less tent cities that can be left without fear, I know of 3 such spots hehe

They should definitely make it harder to raid a base. 35minutes of sledge hammer is way too easy to get access to hours of loot storage.

This is why I have around 30 purple locked metal gates & barbed wire where possible to protect my few barrels of tier 3 diamonds 👀👍♥️😂😂😂 on that note in the morning I'll have a few more too 👍😎🤪🤣
