hello and today i will be showing you how to create a destructible mesh out of any static mesh you have and have it explode :)

The destructible mesh option was removed lately and added as part of a plug-in which is disabled by default. To enable, go to Edit -> Plugins -> Physics -> APEX Destruction. The option to create destructible meshes will be available after restarting the editor.

You can "Apply Damage to Destructible Mesh" as another option; to activate the destructible mesh animation without firing a projectile that way you can fire an interact-able event or function to execute the destructible animation., you can and change the location nodes of hit and dir to the world location of the actual mesh (or from your character and get the forward vector location to simulate more advanced destructible mesh physics/animations that enable to explode in the given direction.

I have a question, if you add more destruction pieces, does it make your computer frame lag?

Could you supposedly make a fully destructible terrain by doing this so it could be like Minecraft but not blocky?

When you say it is applicable to a static mesh, can that be a model that is imported? If it is, must the model not have any animations? The static part of static mesh means it is something with a mesh that doesn't necessarily change or move? So a player wouldn't be static, but for example a box or wall would?
