For who watches this and is unable to follow the steps in 4.18: Destructible Mesh option is disabled by default now. You must go to Settings > Plugins > Physics > Apex Destruction. Press "Enabled" and restart UE4. Voila!

I'd love to see a tutorial for destructables and physics in depth, is anything like that planned? Or can someone link me to a forum/video? Wasn't able to find anything..

How is it unwrapped inside? And also, can they be converted to regular static meshes?

I don't see the create destructable mesh option, I'm using 4.9 and all i see is Create Materal Instance, does updating the engine every so often remove the option to do it and if so are they that stupid to not take into account when giving tutorials like this that.

I'm assuming this kind of destruction in a multiplayer environment is client side/local only? How would you go about creating simple destructibility that worked that would be synchronized across all players?

Is there a way to make the mesh react differently based on how strong of an impact it takes? I mean, if it is hit with an axe causing minimum damage vs getting hit with a rocket launcher causing major damage the destruction should be different.

mine didnt destroy upon impact it bounces once before it, how do i make it t destroy on impact??

HELP i have a brown mesh. When it gets destroyed the inside is grey non texture stuff. How can i get that brown as well?

im using version 4.8.0, and there is no Start Awake boolean. Is there a function instead to turn off on and on Simulate Physics? This seems to be the only way to trigger to start awake or not..

Copied pasted Destructible mesh _Dm so there are 6 spheres on play spheres drop and freeze then vanish all except original sphere also bounces on impact before fragmenting is this a phyisics issue or video graphic card issue

Why doesn't Nvidia make plug-ins for Blender? I swear Autosoft pays Nvidia not to support indie devs. There's no reason for there not being a plugin for Blender.

Like Nvidia Hairworks, someone wrote a plug-in for Blender and Nvidia bullied him to take it down. Thankfully it's mirrored but it's only version .1 and he planned on a lot of updates.

I can't wait to see Autosoft die out. I would've gotten into 3d a loooong time ago if I wasn't so intimidated at the cost. Viva la Blender!!

It's only a matter of time before Blender supercedes things like Maya and 3ds in every way and we'll all remember how Nvidia did nothing for us.
