Met a guy at the driving range that told me/showed me this technique, started working with it. He had since sent me this video. I had started trying it out on the range with some results. Like everything it takes practice and patience. After seeing this video, I realized I’ve seen Clay many times shuffling through various golf instructors.
I have decided to perfect my golf game concentrating on these lessons and this instructor.
I’ll continue with my updates as my game progresses.

Hello Clay, I have been subscribed your channel for over a year. I actually moved toward another teaching method because you teach more body rotation than I thought I was capable of doing. I have strengthened my core and can turn better now.
This power position move is PURE GOLD my friend. I cannot believe you gave that away for free and I have never seen it anywhere else on YouTube. The increase in speed and consistency of this one move added 30 yds to my 7 iron
I will be getting your system after New Year's Day and implement your system in my winter practice
None of my pals will be able to beat me if I start out driving them and hitting greens becuse I rely heavily on my great short game and I can beat them about 60% of our rounds already.
Thank you very much for the increased power and the concise way you explained it. It is much needed at 60+ years old.
All the best

Best golf tip/lesson I have seen on YouTube! And I have seen a lot.
Watched it yesterday and then spent a couple of hours at the range, practicing the move.
Unbelievable results, I was stunned!
Ball speed & total yardage on top tracer dramatically increased.
Even when I was thinking I was swinging at 60-70%, it was still further than my 100% swings only days earlier.
Why have I only learnt this at 53 years of age!
I have been having lessons for years.
Thank you Clay!

Another fantastic video and presentation. Great analogy with the water skier too. Thanks!

Clay, I’m not even quite down with this video and can already feel this swing. Can’t wait to get to the range! Thanks so much!

AJ Bonar. Most underrated teacher. He has like four videos on youtube and it’s basically anything there is to know to get good at striking the ball..

Everything about that demonstration
says power move to the ball. Nice. Thanks for such an excellent demo on how to achieve solid, powerful, contact consistently.

Bravo Clay - great lesson. This is something many 'good' players struggle with. Emphasizing where the speed is generated and not rushing is key with this.

All talented ball-strikers are in this position, no matter their backswing - from Justin Thomas, to Miller Barber, to Ben Hogan, to Jim Furyk. They are all in the same position as the left hand crosses the right thigh.

Great lesson, thanks. How does this apply to the driver?

This is a great video and explanation of this move. It is one of THE hardest moves to learn if you cast the club. One thing to watch is where your hands get at the top of the back swing.
Off the back shoulder NOT around behind the head. Watch his postion at the 6:48 mark. This is where you have to stop as you practice this move. so your hands can drop not cast

Should the right elbow be to the side or be in front at this power position? This is something i've been confused with recently. Thanks!

Is this the case for every club, Clay? With driver for example, do I do the same thing but hitting up instead?

Hello Clay, very powerful approach position. I would be interested in more detail as you move into the impact position and thru into your finish. Possibly you can get into that in a future video?

Is this “club head on the inside when the shaft is parallel to the ground and you glove hand slightly above the knee” also applied for the driver? Thanks Clay.

Hi Clay, does this concept/drill work even if you're using a club with the length thats shorter than your height's standard? ie I wanna get the right swing n punch feeling before getting fitted clubs.

Great explanation. Just tried this on an indoor matt and could immediately feel a better impact with the turf. My hands were ahead of the ball and I was coming down from more inside. I knew before I was going outside to in causing me mainly to pull the ball to the left or push the ball to the right if I cast the club but didn’t understand why. It’s winter here so I can’t wait to get to a simulator to try this. THX Ric. Would this apply to a driver? Seems it would be harder to do with a longer club.
