Watching Ripley a second time made me appreciate what an absolutely outstanding actor this guy is. If he’s not nominated for an Oscar, it will only be because they’ve been nominating too many Irishman lately.

When I press play for Ripley, I was thrilled that it was in black-and-white. Every composition was gorgeous perhaps inspired by Caravaggio. And since I discovered Andrew Scott, I was made aware of All of Us Strangers and I have to say it's one of the most moving films ever.

I'm very much looking forward to Andrew Scott's Ripley. He is such a good actor and will give a complex performance. Despite the fact that the series has been criticized for being filmed in black-and-white (Gen Z hate b/w and don't understand it), this is an inspired choice by the director, and will add contextually to Scott's performance.
