What is the way? Can you follow the code of the Mandalore and become Mandalorian?

In Star Wars Legends a Mandalorian's Clan and House are extremely important but bloodline, race, and even species is not, adoption is that serious in their culture.
"I know your name as my child" -from the adoption ceremony.

I hope both the Children of the Way and Bo Katan's faction return to the original Code of the Mandalore.

I had no idea Mandalorians had a code and lore just as rich with history as the jedi and the sith. They're now the best non force using group in all of Star Wars.

Children of the Watch are freed from blood and history, bound by creed. To truly only value might and rite is not perverted, but cuts to the core identity of what it means to be Mandalorian. This is the way.

Mandalore = Shogun, Houses leaders = Daimyo and their clan = daimyo clan, smaller clans (like Wren) = retainer clans of Daimyo clan, individual Mandalorians = individual samurai. I think it is obvious how their hierarchy worked and where they got inspiration when they created them for KOTOR.

Hopefully we'll get more of this brought into the new Canon. Seeing the Taung in new Canon would be amazing.

It would make sense that they would start adopt orphans of battle ... there is no honor in killing defenseless children or leaving them to die or suffer in the aftermath

Awesome video. I feel a lot of people in real life would join the mandalorian cause if they really existed. They remind me of cobra Kai. I’ve almost completed my own mandalorian armor and will join their ranks soon.

I hope they make it so that Boba fett can be a Mandalorian in the later episodes of the Mandalorian and also in the new Boba Fett miniseries I heard about bc he was literally the original gangsta and is my favorite character in Star Wars

if I am correct, a mandalorian house is named after the last name of the house’s Mand’alor, and the head clan follows the same guide lines

In the Kotor games Mandalorians speak basic (English) and they are not forced to wear armor. They do it because it is practical.

Fighting and guns are the religion and they are the best warriors in the galaxy.
Any one can be mandalorian as long as they abide by the way of living.
Mandalor has one leader that can be replaced regularly is the people so choose (by getting some one else to fight the current leader).
They had a planet wide pleug once.
And if you know of Bobba Fetts old legends lord, there was a movement called “Mandalor First” when the galactic government was ignoring them in favor of other systems.
