Diverging Mandalorian Beliefs Explained - Star Wars #Shorts

What happened in Mandalorian culture that led to the divergent beliefs of Din Djarin and Bo-Katan Kryze? The Mandalorian religion was built on the spiritual and mythological beliefs of their warrior culture. Ancient Mandalorians were intensely devoted followers of this faith, much like the culture’s founding race, the Taungs, who were a deeply religious society. These early Mandalorians believed in a multitude of deities, but only truly worshiped the destroyer god Kad Ha’rangir.

Over the course of history, ideas changed or fell out of favor, and the Mandalorians split into various religious groups centered around their individual beliefs. But one element that held true in nearly all sects was the Resol'nare, also known as the Six Actions. Their children were taught that if they wanted to be Mandalorians, they had to follow these six tenets: wear armor, speak the language, defend themselves and their families, raise their children as Mandalorians, contribute to the clan’s welfare, and, when called upon by the Mand’alor, rally to their cause.

I have a feeling that last tenet might come in handy when Din becomes the next Mandolore

I think the children of the watch took the “wear armor” rule a bit too literally

"the armor looks cool" is the founding tenant.

Nothing happened to "cause" anything, Mandalorians vary not only by clan by down to the very Mandalorian. They're individuals. The Resol'nare is the only thing they have to follow, and it's up to each Mandalorian how to interpret the tenets.

As the armorer meant with the forge metaphor, a Mandalorian who doesn't follow the way is still a Mandalorian, just in a different way.

Love how they managed to nerf the whole Mandalorian race 🤣.

I hope they build up Din to become the next Mandalore. Seeing Din grow as a person and finally learn to use the dark saber would be sick.

So basically some Mandalorians said "Okay, I've got my armor and I wear it. I'm good", while some other said "No, you've got to wear it ALL THE TIME AND NEVER TAKE IT OFF!"

The new mandalorian season is actually pretty good so far

While I think people are set on the new unifier being Bo, I believe her role will be to *assemble* the exiled clans/Mandalorians with Din being the one actually to unite and lead them all as the new Mandalore. Paz has already backed Din and now the Children of the Watch have a new home/sanctuary on Navarro.

Finally a religion I can abide by. I am no longer atheist. I am now Mandalorion.

Really hope for at least a mention of Canderus Ordo, aka Mandalor the Preserver

So technically Boba Fett should also answer the call he's fulfilled the 4/6 tenets

More specifically the children of the watch seem to be the mandalorians of the original death watch who recognized Maul as the rightful Mandalore after he killed Pre Viszla.

every time I hear what they believe, I get closer to agreeing with them and wish that I could actually be mandalorian

Basically it’s what happened irl
As the generations went on certain beliefs became dumb/not true to some and so they stopped doing it
