Telling the public about an encounter doesn't make them money or positively famous. It usually destroys their life. They are called liars and laughed at by their own friends and families most times. They are ridiculed and teased by their community.
Thats not a good incentive or motivation for someone to just make up an encounter.

My wife and I were exploring Fort Stevens with our cameras out trying to search for "ghosts", just really desiring proof for ourselves. We both saw a luminescent white ethereal misty orb a few feet in diameter appear, the second time it engulfed me which felt peaceful and I could visually tell I was within it's fog, it may have been centered with my heart being to my left and a bit below my head. It made me feel calm and peaceful for a moment. Afterwards we were both incredibly fatigued for the day, her phone had no recording that should've been there, my phone's camera broke and both our phones went from being nearly full to nearly dead in moments.

What this failed to mention about those markings on his leg is that a few days or weeks prior to them appearing, he fell off a ladder and badly damaged his knee. The surgeon he saw said that he needed surgery to fix his knee, or he would never walk again. His abductioned occurred a few days before the surgery and he awoke to having those markings on his leg, and no longer in a brace. He went to the surgeon and told him he didn't need surgery anymore. After taking more xrays the surgeon was baffled and didn't have an explanation as to how his leg was fully repaired. It's not just a story either bc they actually talked to the Dr. He has a documentary on Netflix I think.
