What people don’t understand who haven’t driven any generation Viper, is the amount of low rpm torque. Look at a factory gen 2, they’re putting about 400lb/ft to the ground by 2k rpm. This is not found in most any other car.

I owned a viper and drove the last model. It’s got more torque than the Hellcats and with the V10 it has long legs so it can maintain high top speeds at lower RPM. Plus the chassis gives it much better handling. Gonna miss that car.

I’ve been lucky enough to have owned 5 Vipers in my life starting with a 96 R/T 10, 98 GTS, 01 R/T 10, 03 convertible, 06 coupe. Sold the 06 in 2021 when I retired. Guy paid me $55K in cash. Felt like a drug dealer when I went to deposit that in the bank 😂😂

my gen v gts i upgraded the pcm run high octane fuel n its a mad beast on the road never wants to run slow always runs hard i believe now it 700 hp

Peak horsepower is for bench seat measuring contests, races get won on torque curves and how quickly you put it to the ground.

Yes but they can be tuned up to 2000hp
