2017 Dodge Viper ACR Nürburgring RECORD Attempt!

In this video you will see the Second record attempt of the 2017 Dodge Viper ACR-Extreme at the Nurburgring Nordschleife on 25-08-2017. The last time they did a 7:03.45 and I read on the drivers Instagram page that they went even faster than that... Will have to wait for the official news now... Naturally Aspirated V10, manual its entire 25 year production, and kicks most cars' asses at the 'Ring. This car has always been in a league of its own. A damn shame production has ended.

Dom was on a flyer, the stupid people at the start told him the vehicles ahead are too far for him to catch, so he went. He was on pace for a 7:00 flat, but the second last half is more technical, he might have picked up a second more, but he caught the cars ahead and it blew his lap. They were not very happy to say the least. It's amazing going there with 140, 000 pounds with no factory help. just two stock Vipers from the dealership. It takes money and 3 or 4 vehicles, not to mention factory pockets. The way Porsche did it was drove for hours until the exact ambient road temperature.On one of the Vipers runs the track was 112 degrees, and wore out the tires after the warm up lap.

If looks could kill the Viper ACR has it.
Perfect set-up, manual, aero, suspension, etc.
It just needs more power - about 100-150HP to take back the title.
Why the hell would Dodge bring back the Viper in 2013 with on 40 more HP than previous??? Stupid.

how many ppl run stock cars at the 'Ring? there's no tech inspection for a non pro race..and even the pros cheat. all that to say..if that Viper had ported heads & a cam + the 'more track time etc' ppl keep yammering about below, she'd be so far into the 6's you'd frikkin scream!
