Regarding the color being a little faded, I can't speak for this monitor in particular but for people transitioning from a TN panel to IPS, you will always notice this issue with colors appearing more "white-ish". That is actually how things are supposed to look (many people use IPS for graphic design) but we're used to monitors that crank up the contrast and saturation by default in an attempt to make things look more vibrant than they are. It's like eating a donut with a lot of sugar in it and then tasting an apple and thinking it has no flavor. Something to keep in mind when you change monitors.

try those settings, I think we have the same monitor, also movies are awesome in 21:9, i used to watch them all the time on the apple tv app on my macbook before i turned my ultrawide vertical.

I also love the ergo stand, but opted for the LG 32” 4K ultra fine monitor instead. I wished LG would just sell the stand as a stand-alone product!

I stopped using two monitors after a neck injury like 3 years ago and now I only use one and I am way more productive, been thinking about getting this one, thanks for the review!

I used to have multiple screens for my work before I move back to my home country because I needed to have several windows opened so that, as you said, I don't have to waste my time switching the window while taking data to a spreadsheet, for example. One thing that ultrawide screen is better than normal screens is that you can have bigger windows, which is really helpful for someone who need remote accesses to her PC and software inside while working from home and need to have as large working space as possible. It is going to be really helpful, only if I can afford it though...

I'm so glad my coworker stopped me from choosing the dual-wide 27'' option over the ultrawide option our company offered us. It's especially good for photo/video editing, where you just want one good screen over two smaller ones.

Nice review. I've been looking at ultra-wide monitors but I really don't know much about technology so this was helpful.

I am using an ultra-wide (34 inch (3440x1440p) monitor for over 4 years now. As a developer, what I realize is that I need more vertical space. While horizontal space is great for placing my editor and browser side by side, I am tired of scrolling up and down. I think a 4K 32 inch monitor is the soft spot for me.

I currently own this one and it's gaming verison.
The ultrawide experience is amazing for the most part.

Had an Ultrawide 34" curved monitor, and it was fun while it lasted! Came from a single 27" monitor much like yourself, so the extra screen real estate and simplistic aesthetic made it incredible. However, I have to do a lot of screensharing for my job and it looks distorted on Teams/Zoom. There's ways around it (showing app only, using a laptop/secondary monitor) but the headache for me was enough to switch to dual 27" setup.

That stand is everything! I'm still having a dilemma whether I should buy 2 monitors or just go with 1 huge ultrawide monitor

2:30 "you can't focus on more than one app"
2:40 "so i can have multiple apps open at the same time"

It would be great if you could place all of the apps you're going to on-screen share on one side. It's more difficult to manage online presentations with the ultra-wides. Still love it though. BTW, excellent video and sweet desk.

Nice review, thanks for sharing. Samsung G9 gang checking in. Absolutely love this thing. I've tried a few since and every time I go back to the G9 I appreciate it more and more.

pair it with a 27inch in portrait mode for your notes, web pages, terminal windows, word docs, etc that best viewed in portrait mode

Great video. Would be interested to know how window management works on a Mac. Is it easy for example to have 3 apps nicely arranged on the screen, or are you constantly dragging windows around? What is having an app full screen like? Did you use it much?
