Ukraine shoots down 13 drones from Russian attack on Kyiv

Ukrainian forces shot down 13 drones on Wednesday as Russia launched its first major drone attack on Kyiv in weeks. This comes as the U.S. is considering sending its advanced Patriot air defense system to Ukraine. BBC News correspondent Hugo Bachega joined Anne-Marie Green on "CBS News Mornings" from Kyiv to discuss.

The anti drone systems cost many times more than the Iranian drones. This could be a Russian tactic, deplete the Western supplied anti aircraft systems.
What Ukraine needs more of, are old fashion air-burst anti aircraft systems like the Gepard in addition to the IRIS-T
I guess, the air defense systems can distinguish between cheap and slow Iranian drones and the fast hyper-sonic missiles and use the appropriate weapon for the task.
