I’m from New Orleans you got to jazz that up a bit.
Use French vanilla cake mix, drop some some raisins in that pie filling along with some cinnamon, touch of vanilla. top it with some apple spiced oatmeal (instant ) to give it a crunch topping.
Good basic recipe, you can give some life to. Give it a touch of Creole .

I'm adding oats to the cake mix and cinnamon, nutmeg, butter, brown sugar, vanilla then mix it together and adding a liilt caramel to it pour it on top of apple filling
