“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.

Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.

Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.

Welcome to the Young Nails family!

I’ve been trying to look for other channels to learn from to get a different perspective. But I realised that after Young Nails, there’s no getting. Every other channel is just not informative enough to learn from. I’ve learned a great deal of skill since I subscribed to this channel. Thank you guys for all the vids ❤️❤️

Thank you guys for sharing as always! Id be curious to learn more about how to become an educator for a brand, like what your application process is like and what you look for in a young nails educator.

Love this talk! There are so many paths in the nail industry that we don't know about when we're starting. I'm currently a soloprenuer, but I also teach for a brand and I have other projects on my agenda for this year to continue to diversify my income streams. After being forced to close for several months, that really showed me that having multiple incomes is vital!

Where I live we have zero nail supplies to speak of.. my dream and what I’m working on now is building a nails supply store and classroom in my town.

In PA you can now get Individual Licenses for Teaching Nails, Skin and Hair Braiding. So check the State Board in your State.

The saddest part of the entire thing is, I’m very humble would do whatever they asked even the worst part of the jobs like sweeping and cleaning up and filling up things I’m working on for salary to gain experience, but it’s really hard when you see that nobody wants you in a matter what you have to offer it’s never good enough and most people in my area don’t wanna do pedicures and I don’t mind them at all whether they want nail lacquer or nail gel. It doesn’t bother me the massage part doesn’t bother me clipping a toenail doesn’t bother me, I love the finished product when you’re in love with your feet or they’re in love with your hands I did my best friends nails and believe me it was the first time I ever did the acrylic French with blue tips for the French and she was in love with these nails in love and they lasted three weeks with her taking care of babies and young kids that she has I mean that made me so happy to see that she was so happy with what I had done for her. It was part of a class, but I put everything into it everything I had went into it.

You give such great content and informative information. I watched both your videos on pricing, however; I am curious of your take when it comes to nail art, nail appliqués and whether you would charge per nail or per product.

I’m in central Illinois and want a nail school but local schools don’t teach just nails. They make you go through the entire cosmetology course to get licensed for nails. I DONT want to learn hair. 😡 and I feel I’d be paying them for something I don’t want.

I just want to say thank you for all you videos! I have learned so much. I am a student about ready to finish on March 10th, after I pass Maryland State board, I will become a nail tech for The Spa at Rocky Gap. I am wondering about how to become an educator and such.

Im going to be going to school to become a nail tech but I'm a tiny bit afraid because I'm 44 yrs old and idk am I past my prime for the business. Is it a young persons game? I would love if you could someday talk about it.

I went to Nail School and I was really only toy acrylic. We only did one demo of Joe nails, two demos of a pedicure no demo of the powder. I learned that through other people or other classes, I chose to go to on my own and pay for which cost a couple thousand dollars to do and it was only four days, but eight hours a day and one to zero one to one session but it was acrylic only and no matter what place I apply to nobody will hire me if it’s a Spanish salon they only hire Spanish people and they have to speak Spanish if they are Korean or Vietnamese, they were only higher Korean people or Vietnamese. That’s what my area is like in the American salons you better be proor they don’t want you and I don’t know what to do anymore because I love doing nails, but what should I do work by myself? I can’t work from my home I live with too many family members and they won’t be able to handle the smell. So sad 😢
