I’m sorry to hear about the bullying you went through, but thank God for the blunt school teacher that took time out to tell you the truth. None of the other teachers cared for you enough to tell you the facts. Everyone hates hearing the truth but everyone is stronger for it!😊

I went through similar in school got bullied every by the same people especially this one girl. One day I just snapped an jumped up to fight her cause I just wanted it to stop. An the teacher told me if I didn't set back down she would send me to the Office. I told her you sat their every day an hear this girl picking on me an you say nothing. So I was going through at school an home. So when you say people don't know what someone is going through they truly don't. I had to stop caring too, then I lost they weight an got an boyfriend an then got hated on again because he was popular. It's just messed up sometime, but instead of having confidence I call it having strength. You are a beautiful enlighten person thank you for sharing your journey.

Think about it this way. People compliment your confidence because it's sometimes rare to see young women/men who are happy with themselves and it's refreshing and inspiring to meet someone who knows that their that ish. So don't think of it as a negative thing. Rethink and appreciate your gift from God of self acceptance and Self appreciation and Self love and continue to share this with other's. Hope this can change your perspective on this issue. One Love!!

Sounds like you grew up in NYC, I can totally relate. When I first came here from the Caribbean my accent was thick. I started in elementary school I wasn’t bullied but constantly heard “listen to how she talks” lol by the time I got to HS they were wanting to hear me talk lol now I don’t hide it all.
