Extinct Chuck E Cheese Animatronic Characters! Chuck e Cheese Pizza Time Theatre had become known for its animatronic characters. Since the first Chuck E Cheese opened in 1977 many animatronic characters were removed and have become extinct from the family pizza restaurants so today we'll be taking a look at the history of the Chuck E Cheese pizza time theatre restaurants and count down more Extinct animatronics that you can't find in the restaurants today. The Chuck E Cheese restaurants were bought by Showbiz Pizza Place in 1984 with the full merger happening by 1992. It was recently announced that Chuck E Cheese would undergo their first major renovation in 20 years and will remove the animatronic band. Munch's Make Believe Band will eventually become fully extinct and go down in Chuck E Cheese history.

It's important to note that with Dolli's chest movement, it isn't as lewd or controversial as some people like to make it seem. It's simply a very subtle movement that makes her look as if she's actually breathing. You know the chest movement on the Tiki Room birds at Disney? It's the same concept. It just helped sell the illusion that she was actually singing! It's actually hard to even notice unless you're reeeaaally looking for it.

The Pizzacam in Richmond, Virginia was actually repaired, so that’s a good sign

Ah, the ephemerality of life. It was a treat to be a kid in the early/mid 80s. A field trip to Showbiz circa '83 for a field trip, with a school-issued pocketful of tokens, followed by a visit to a play or some such (the "educational" portion of the trip), remains one of the highlights of my young life. Whoever proposed and approved of that field trip is an absolute legend in my book.

B.B. Bubbles also had ear movements, as well as her moving trunk.
Also, the dark Warblettes were 'magpies', not 'crows'.

They shouldn’t remove the band, people have grown up seeing them, they are part of history

Update for Pizzacam and Munch Jr.:

Richmond has removed Pizzacam due to it being in bad condition, the new one wasn’t enough as it had problems too.

Wilmington was closed due to Covid-19, which also means that Munch Jr. is now fully extinct.

As of now, Laurel remains the only place to still have the old Pizzacam.

For the black Pizzacam, Sheffield also has it.

I remember when I was little I would always look at the animatronics and not play, but now they took down the characters instead for a dance floor.🥺😔😭

I think one reason why kids have stopped looking at the animatronics is because some of the restaurants don’t even use them. They never even turn them on... depending on the place, but, I’ve noticed that some Chuck E. Cheese restaurants near me hardly ever use their animatronics.

They shouldn't get rid of the animatronics, that's the whole point of chuck E cheese

They should bring back all the exncit animatronics and combine them in one building with different rooms.
It would be amazing

What we need is a chuck-e-cheese museum
Where you can visit the past animatronics and other things

I used to be terrified of the animatronics as a kid, but now I've grown to really appreciate them. I would hate to see these guys go :(

When I was younger and went to cec I loved the animatronics! Helen Henny was my favorite! But until early 2020 I lost my beloved animatronic friends, and I don’t really like the dance floor! Besides the first time I saw the dance floor, nobody was on it, I think the lights are a little too bright, and I agree that it takes up space,

Animatronics from the eighties: oh, that would have been cool today
Animatronics from the nineties: Aww man, that sucks. Oh well at least their good now!
Munch's Make Believe Band: OK YOU HAVE GONE WAY TOO FAR!! I DONT WANT A STUPID DANCE FLOOR INSTEAD OF MEMORABLE CHARACTERS.

Fun fact: Artie Antlers was originally named Elkton John. No one knows why they changed his name.
