A recent survey indicates most Americans would rather rely on the popular vote to elect the President.

If 22 people at the house party want pepperoni pizza and 10 want ham, it shouldn’t matter how many people are in each room or how big each room is or how far away each person is from each other. In the end, more people in the ENTIRE house party want pepperoni. 🤷🏽‍♀️Order pepperoni pizzas and stop making things more complicated than they should be.

How does having a popular vote decide the president give some states more power? It doesn't matter how many people are in any particular state, because the candidate would not win by how many states they won, but by the overall number of voters who voted for that person. If living in a particular state determined your party affiliation then I could see why a popular vote would matter. A more populated state for example making everyone vote for a certain party would be an issue and would give that state more power; but simply counting the total number of votes over the entire country and determining who wins does not give one area of the country more power than another. In this day and age of technology and information even people in rural areas can determine which candidate they think is best without that candidate coming to their state or local area. Obviously it is my opinion the Electoral College is an out of date system that, if it was influenced by slavery, most definitely needs to go.

🤔
Ok, I’ve got another. Let’s say a group of friends decide to meet and have movie night. There are a bunch of people in the room, some on the couch, some in chairs, a lot on the floor, 🤔a couple on an ottoman, one on 🤷🏽‍♀️a milk crate. There are only a handful of movies to choose from and most of the people there voted for Jurassic Park. The runner up is Aliens. It doesn’t matter how many people voted from where, how close people were to the tv, what they were sitting on, etc. More people voted for Jurassic Park than any other movie option. 🤷🏽‍♀️Put on Jurassic Park.
