I am very happy with mine in 6.5 creedmoor.

"appearance laws" are a perfect example of law makers having no clue about firearms. Happy to hear they got rid of those.

Hi mark and sam,

i am just about to get into shooting and I'm going to document my journey from a total shooting peanut to hopefully one day being able to shoot at the ranges you do and i wanted to let you know that I've watched a few of your videos about doing the long range shooting and it inspired me to get into the sport, i will be starting at ranges and only doing 50-200m to start but one day i would like to be able to shoot as far as you! i am waiting for my PTA then I can get the ball rolling, i know you probably wont see this but thanks for the cool videos. ill be posting videos of my progress as i go so one day i might see you on the mountain.

I have the RPR in 300 PRC and in 6.5 C . I still use the factory butt stock, I think that’s the only thing I would change. For a factory rifle that I’ve reached out to 1.5 miles . It’s pretty dang good !

The RPR in 6.5 PRC for the price, is exceptionally hard to beat and has allowed me to compete in my local PRS matches. Sure, I come in last place often, but not all is lost out of that, I have had a wonderful time and met so many absolutely amazing people that have helped me along in my learning curve over the past 4 to 6 years with it. I am doing fair now with it predictably and reliably. Everything I have is all based on a budget as I am poor, but, the amount of learning I have acquired, is priceless. So, anybody, if my broke a$$ can do this, by changing some habits of other hobby's, then you too can jump into this PRS sport and have a fantastic time. I spent about 2 to 3 years building up everything, one part or tool at a time, so I didn't hurt myself in the pocket book as that would take all the fun out of it.. By doing one thing at a time, you then get to appreciate each item and learn it, instead of being over whelmed in buying it all in one hit or going into debt over it.. take your time and enjoy it.

Interesting to see how this rifle comes along. I have the first gen of rpr when they chambered it in .243 with a 1.7 twist while it will shoot anything, it likes 105 gr bergers the most.

Sounds like a Meccano structure.
Interesting.

I have this same rifle in 6mm Creedmore, I love it. Never had any problems with the buttstock, bolt or trigger. Shoots generally 1/2 too 3/4 MOA. Its a shame you can't play with a AR. ARs can be amazingly accurate. I've had 1/2 MOA ARs.

Super happy you made this video. The RPR is owned by very many people, and I have a feeling you'll get lots of views. I own more than one myself.

I bought one in 6cm when they were blowing the gen 2s out for clearance prices. I had the same thoughts and concerns you had. That all changed when I tried 107smk and H4350. It shoots amazing to my surprise. I ended up putting a Timney trigger in it and a magpul PRS stock. The Magpul PRS does make the LOP long though.

Great review Mark. Thank you for sharing and illustrating some of the points you would prefer to improve upon. I have a Gen III in the 6mm Creedmoor and absolutely love it. I plan to buy a 300 PRC next. Ruger has managed to give a lot of us great products that are affordable to regular enthusiasts.

Love that VALDADA - I have the same 16X fixed on my 6ARC AR and it is great glass! I use holds(no dialing) to go from 100 to 1000yds!

Hi Mark! I'm using my RPR 6.5 Creedmoor to get started in PRS shooting. From a bag and bipod, it has consistently done better than 1 MOA over a thousand rounds through the current barrel. The almost boring accuracy of the rifle was what pushed me to start competing. I've added your rail at the rear, and I'm loving it. Very flexible piece of kit!

I have an RPR in 6.5 CM, it's a very accurate shooting rifle for me. A lot of people here in the states ditch the Ruger Buttstock for a Magpul PRS stock. It's a pretty modular rifle, which is something those of us who served in the US Military like about them. Cheers
