I've been listening to Slipknot since 1999, Rob Zombie since 1995, Korn since about 1998, Metallica since 1988 or so. I was exposed to KISS as a child, along with Black Sabbath. I also like 80s pop, rock, I really like Slot (a Russian band; Daria Stavrovich of Slot has the most amazing voice I've ever heard), Lacuna Coil, Rammstein, and even classical music. (Just painting a quick portrait of some of my musical tastes so you know where I'm coming from :-) )

I first heard about BABYMETAL when a friend mentioned them on Facebook a couple of years ago and I was like 'okay, what the f*ck is this about?' As soon as I saw one of their videos (I think it was Gimme Chocolate), and I heard the music, the great singing and dancing (choreography in metal? alrighty, that might work!!) and when I saw the Japanese imagery I was sorta like 'okay, I see what they did there'. I like them a lot, I like the contrast between the J Pop and metal music. Only the Japanese could get away with something like that!

It doesn't surprise me at all that guys like Corey Taylor are open to them as a band. It's a cool idea, probably not for everyone, but I personally would jump at the chance to see them live. The girls are as cute as all get out, beautiful singers and performers with boundless energy, their band mates are killer, and about as tight as can be. I'm not overly familiar with the Japanese metal scene but it's creative, I'll give them that! Keep it up BABYMETAL, I'm totally down with what you're doing! * gives a double fox finger symbol salute*

Saw Su-Metal and Moa backstage watching SlipKnkot at Sick new World Festival over this past weekend. They also performed there and made an appearance with Bring Me The Horizon's Kingslayer which they both collaborated on. 🤘🦊🔥
