Of course a unconstitutional agency wants to keep a unconstitutional rule.

Just who are these people at the ATF? They constitutionally can NOT make laws or regulations violating the 2nd A. This nonsense from the ATF MUST STOP.🙄

The ATF is a perfect example of everything that is wrong with the current state of the executive branch of the government.

when will SCOTUS put some teeth into their rulings. hold those who do not comply in contempt of court.

If we had a real judicial branch, the ATF would be subject to criminal contempt and Dittledick would be in jail

It seems like they're not just challenging the letter of the law but the very principles behind it.

With Chevron dead the ATF should have no grounds in this type of rule making.

Need to defund the legal division of the ATF since the can’t understand the decision. Need to defund the enforcement division because they aren’t smart enough to figure out how to box up those triggers and put them in the mail.

A perfect demonstration of how a government agency can feign ignorance when they don’t want to do what they are told

Are they arguing that they confiscated all those triggers and didn't keep records of the people they took them from? Bullshit!!

This back and forth appealing from the ATF and the court, allowing it is just so damn petty. I truly believe that the Supreme Court's job is NOT to pass fair judgment based by the law of the land, but to make it look like they do. If indeed these appointed judges follow the law, there would be absolutely NO infringements on the 2A. This back and forth nonsense is a sideshow.

NO, the ATF has 30 days to comply. When they don't we can sue them again on non-compliance of a court order!!

there should be a penalty for everyday these Americans are deprived of their equipment paid directly to the individuals

Well have the ATF pay damages + cost of each device confiscated. $$$$

If they aren't machine guns by federal law then how can they still be machine guns by state law? 14th Amendment, Supremacy Clause and all that jazz.
