Hello Spatry. I hope you can carve out a little window to fully review this distro. I enjoy hearing what your opinion is and your tips. I just installed this one on my VM and will 'get my hands dirty' on it.

Are the drives on your desktop because you are running a live cd over a virtual machine you already created? That would make sense. Also, the thing at the top is probably just a horizontal conky (that is what it looks like to me). Cool review. I have never even heard of this distro. A gui package manager in Arch? It's all about pacman.

@LinuxSpatry Haha. The reason I said that was that in the title bar of your virtual machine it says "Pinguy OS 64". But once you figure out some of the features pacman cli in my opinion is second to none that I have tried. Also, on the Arch install thing, if you use an older one (I used 05-2010 for my current install) and do a quick update you are at the newest version (it is a rolling release distro) anyway.

I like that font Manjaro uses Sony fetch, does somebody knows how to get it for KDE?

@LinuxSpatry Yeah, I like it too. Back when I ran Ubuntu I would do a clean install (the upgrade feature was a little buggy / it was recommended). If you like tinkering and "do it yourself" then maybe give it another shot. I have learned a lot about Linux from running Arch. I did not even know what a tty was before I switched hahaha.

@shafnet Some people want all the latest packages, or just do it on your own. I've tried Gentoo ages ago and i quiet liked it, it's great fun to go through manual install process.
As for Debian i don't like it mostly - Debian is most dry distro which after install i had to waste alot of time to personalize for myself.

He's reviewing a distro from live cd, it's a big nono. Granted, the out of the box look is not as nice as it could be, but with some tweaks you can make it look anything you want. Speaking of windows 98, have you seen what windows 8 looks like...

@LinuxSpatry Oh wow. You are getting ready to get down huh? Well good luck with that. I was going to try Gentoo but after about 5 minutes of compiling software my computer almost catches on fire so that won't work for me. I think we both need new computers.

@LinuxSpatry I'm an advanced user, I will never install it and will probably only use it if I'm paid to administrate it :)

Linux looks like windows 98 blended with mac os x (not been hateful here)

After the Windows 8 failure, i'm thinking to abandone them and to pass to Linux.

From what I see, arch linux users behave like snobs. I mean I would say I know a thing or two about linux ;) but why would I want to install an OS like arch or free bsd just to make my life difficult when a debian based distro can do the same with zero technical effort.

What the?! Is this a review?! A review of Manjaro Linux?! Or would it be better to rename it Xfce4 Review?! U practically showed us an Xfce desktop and its widgets, without explaining anything for 9 minutes! This is an Arch "fork" and, as an Arch user as I am, I didnt hear any one of the salient characteristics of this awesome distro! Its functioning, its structure and mode of functioning, pacman!!! Whats with you?! This is garbage! I could name this video any-xfce-distro review!
