This is the all new Manjaro 23, codenamed “Uranos”.
The newest version of Manjaro Linux is now out and it comes absolutely loaded. New features, new versions of desktops and a new engine under the hood. Yeah, Manjaro 23 is feature packed to say the least.
This version of Manjaro will be the first distro to give us a taste of GNOME 44.
Manjaro is a widely popular Linux distro which has its own separate fanbase. It is an Arch-based, rolling release Linux distro that comes with a pinch of special Manjaro things. It provides a very unique computing experience that gets Manjaro a place among the Linux giants. And this new version is just going to make everything even better.
So in the second episode of distrofocus, our ongoing series showcasing some of the greatest and some of the underrated Linux distros, we’re going on a deep dive with Manjaro 23. We’ll see what’s new here, and we’ll have a look the new user interfaces, the stability, the performance, the software scene a lot more. Manjaro is the the distro that made me finally switch from Windows to Linux. It really has good default looks and settings. Now I'm using MX Linux 23 though with KDE Plasma. It's Debian-based making it a very stable OS. I feel I'll be using this particular distro for a while as it meets and exceeds all my current needs from an OS. 💪

I got a new SSD and decided to try Manjaro. I had been using Ubuntu w/Gnome for years. I was hesitant to move because of compatibility and stability issues but my installation went smoothly and all the drivers I needed were installed. I even decided to give Plasma a try and now I’m liking it more than Gnome! Also great video! 👏

I’ve been happy using the latest Manjaro Gnome. Installed it on my T430 and T450 and have found it to be a snappier experience than other Debian based distros.

I was tempted to use the GNOME version, but I've been using GNOME for a long time so I gave Plasma another go. Never used Plasma that extensively but I found my workflow

These days, I'm also using Manjaro from the live ISO and sometimes in VM.

It's really well optimized now. Both the GNOME and the KDE edition runs very smooth on my potato PC. Much smoother than most GNOME/KDE based distros I've tried.

The reply I got on the Manjaro forum was if it is from GTK DE to GTK DE/QT to QT it will be ok, but if it is GTK > QT or the other way it will cause issues.
