I just realized something about All In compared to all the other ALNST songs—nothing that warrants an entire essay, but still something I found quite interesting. While everyone else's songs are about love towards another person in some form, Hyuna's song seems to be more about self-love through fighting for freedom and taking control of one's life. And I think that's why Hyuna's the "rebel" while everyone else, even Luka who already won ALNST, is still trapped in it. While everyone focuses their love onto another person (which caused Till to stay for Mizi, and Ivan to stay for Till), Hyuna learned how to love *herself*, allowing her to escape from ALNST without any regrets or hesitation.

notice how this song wasnt titled as a round; since hyuna and mizi are free, theres no more “competing” for them. this is purely hyuna singing while a montage of the two rebelling appears.

Hyuna is exactly how I imagined her to be, someone with a really strong character and the literal definition of freedom and girlboss but I just LOVE the way they portrayed her weak side as well like the fear and complicated memories involving Luka.

I screamed in excitement over Mizi’s haircutting. Short hair and a ribbed turtleneck is such a niche but attractive combo. The Alien Stage opening made me assume Hyuna would be something of a bitter landmine diva so it was an unexpected but welcomed surprise she’s really more lively and affectionate.

What I love is that we see the character with the most gentle and innocent face (Luka) do an unforgivable act as murder. The competitors do cause the deaths of their rivals, but they don't do it out of violence or anger. Mizi beat the lights out of Luka because he was making her uncomfortable, and she was already dealing with the loss of Sua. Hyuna isn't soft, she's bold and was amazing for saving Mizi, but she still is scared of Luka. It shows the power dynamics. Luka killed someone dear to Hyuna, theorized to be her brother, WHILE SMILING. He's the star of Alien Stage too. Despite the fact he was bothering Mizi, the viewers probably saw Mizi as this cruel, violent, monster who wanted to hurt their precious baby boy for the competition! Which makes Hyuna's rescue more impactful. She acted against the Alien Stage, she acted against LUKA, and not for the sake of revenge. At first glance, Hyuna looks like the stereotypical bad girl, but she's one of the sweetest characters in the series and a great aid for helping Mizi with her grief.

I've spent the last two hours trying to figure out if Luka's gold pupils are just a stylistic design choice, or intended to be leukocoria (possibly from the physical trauma at 2:06)

And I *still* don't know! In any other show I'd assume it was just stylistic, but with Hyuna's super dark sunglasses and Luka's blue fingertips, there's clearly some actual medical awareness going in to the character design.

Edit: Rewatched Episode 0, and am now convinced it's 100% intentional leukocoria. Not from trauma though, as it's present in the very young Luka in Episode 0.
I think it's from Norrie disease, a genetic condition that causes;

Yellow/golden pupils (Check)
Poor circulation in the hands and feet, that can lead to blue fingertips and toes especially during times of stress (Check)
Developmental Issues (Check, Luka's sucking his thumb in the first flashback.)
and *most interestingly, *
Behavioral issues such as a lack of empathy *or the Pseudobulbar affect, * which is far more common than the former.

What is the Pseudobulbar affect, you ask?

It's more commonly referred to as "Involuntary emotional expression disorder."
You know those people that laugh at funerals? Or break down sobbing during weddings? That can't help but *smile* when something's terrible is happening, even though they hate it too?

It's really interesting how the tips of Mizi's hair and Luka's fingers are all blue. Maybe the blue symbolizes the competition's influence?
As the previous winner of the competition, Luka embodies the spirit of alien stage and from the start, his fingers have always been blue. Whereas for Mizi, after escaping from the competition, her hair gets cut off, severing her blue tips, possibly symbolizing her breaking free from the competition.
It's really fun to think about. Everyone on the production team did an amazing job on this!

All the lore I can make it is amazing so I might as well point so, w things out!

1. Hyuna clearly has a brother or sibling, which explains the community post that is a grave for Hyun Woo, her presumed sibling. Luka killed him knowing a messed up yandere way, giving us the reason why Hyuna hates Luka with such passion.
2. A dude featured in a community post holding a gvn to an alien was featured at one point, as well as a new character we have yet to know the name of! These seem to be the main cast for the rebels, imcludinh Mizi
3. Mizi has clearly changed a lot, from her caring, kind, obedient self, to a rebel who is becoming more and more rebellious and outgoing with all such missions. I love how when the hair was cut off, it’s as if it cuts off past memories as if to represent her steps forwards into a new life, but I really hope she doesn’t forget Sua 😭😭
4. The setting. It seems like the rebellion has an entire city, and they freely party and capture aliens that give funds to alien stags, seemingly, for fun.

If I missed any details feel free to let me know, bit I genuinely loved the character development, the emotions, and the whole thing itself! I don’t think I’m going to stop watching this until the next round comes out, which I am nervous for.

Luka’s fingers turn that signature blue at 2:08, and he is genuinely insane and probably needs some help- though I doubt that Hyun Woo survived such an attack as he is bleeding profusely

Mizi’s hair being cut is like a new start, I agree with that!

Hyuna has an amputated leg, which is cool! I noticed a while back but forgot to mention it.

Also we still can’t justify what Luka did until we see how his life was, but from what we can make it he might not even want to be the way he is. However, it’s just a theory and we should wait for his perspective

This totally changes the perception of Luka. He isn’t just competent and manipulative (which could also just be passed as competence in the context of the tournament). Bro is depraved. But it works even better in retrospect looking at round 5 and the rest of the story going forward.

I came back to re-watch this one after the last bit in round 6 and noticed that at 2:45 the robot thingy wrote help on the ground? Maybe this is why they knew that Mizi and Hyuna were planning on infiltrating..?

SO much happened in this music video and im here for all of it!! The backstory between Hyuna and Luka is so intriguing. Once sweet childhood memories, is quickly turned dark and leaves you wondering what exactly happened to lead up to this, juxtaposed by the adventurous and hardcore antics of Hyuna and the rebel humans as Mizi goes along for the ride.
Speaking of which, THE HAIR CUT HAD ME STUNNED
not only does it look amazing on her but it really shows the growth of her character. No longer a child, sweet yet obedient and naive towards the cruelty of Alien Stage. Now it seems its foreshadowing an act of development for her, Sua's death a catalyst in realizing how truly awful this all is and making a stand against it
Im enthralled endlessly by this series and cannot wait for the ivantill round!!! From the end of this video alone, its going to be a tearjerker ik it

I love how far Alien Stage has come as a project, seeing Vivinos and Qmeng improve this much has been SO exciting to see!! I love the art, the direction, the music, just everything about ALNST is brimming with passion. I love seeing it all!

the one thing i could think about while rewatching this masterpiece is... Till should be with the rebels. in their nature they're wild, chaotic and everthing Till was but the aliens broke him and his spirit completly. he could bloom so well with Hyuna and the others becasue freedom is his biggest character trait. Ivan tried to run away with him once but his love for Mizi made him turn back and return. and now Till is the broken one, while Ivan drowning in him, willing to do everthing for him, including destroying himself and his name. and Mizi is the rebalious one. amazing lore, vivinos.
