I like how in the beginning, Mizi was singing the song with joy with Sua but when Sua dies, Mizi sings the rest of the song with sorrow and sings a bit slower, which shows how much Sua meant to Mizi, which is pretty damn heartbreaking.. :’(

They harmonize so well with each other, but in the eyes of everyone else in the audience, it's only a competition. The audience didn't even care that they loved each other. I knew it was clear in the teaser that their sentiments are just amusing commodities. I bet the audience were even entertained that the girl with the glasses was heartbroken.

The fact that they didn’t even try to outdo each other to win but they genuinely loved singing with each other hurts. The next few rounds will probably just be the pink hair girl trying to survive rather than singing because she loves it, after all the one who motivated her to sing was the one she ended up killing.

Sua definitely did this to save Mizi. Mizi notice her right away when they were kids, which makes me think her voice stood out. That she was better than the rest and she idolized her plus it was confirmed in their community posts that Sua was atleast thinking of saving Mizi, we know cause Ivan was mocking her for it even though he did the same thing for love

i haven't seen anyone mention this yet, but clematis are a flower in the buttercup family and symbolize mischief, artifice and working around problems, which i think symbolizes the dark haired girl in this, since she's much more goofy, openly silly and ultimately the one who dies as a result. i wonder if the next alien stage participants will also have flower language!

2:56 sua's expression here is so heartbreaking. she looks stressed, she's sweating much more than mizi; she knew she's going to die. and yet she kept up her smile for mizi and looked into her eyes for one last time as she calmly accepted her fate

From what we've been shown, I'm assuming Alien Stage is an idol survival show/game that aliens enjoy wherein humans are being held captive. Two people "battle" through performing, and whoever gets the lower score dies. Meanwhile, the one who wins that round advances to the next, and there can only be one winner/survivor in the end.

It's still unclear if these idols are aware of what awaits them once they're on stage, but it looks like they've been in captivity + trained since childhood and only know this way of life. Both of them seemed to have worked hard in order to get on stage and even cheered each other on, only for them to be put up against each other. If they did know what was going to happen, I'm thinking that the two girl(friend)s in this video wanted to change their fate somehow by singing a duet instead of "fighting". We see their scores almost tied, but unfortunately someone still had to lose. They were still hopeful until the very end, and for a moment they seemed happy they got to perform their song together in their final moments. If they didn't know what was going to happen, then the ending is even more cruel. No matter the outcome, one of them would've been the reason why the other dies. All this for the sake of entertainment...

The first round was already so deep and tragic. I can't wait for more characters and songs! I'm still in awe of how the quality of these animations improve every single time. I've been a fan for a while and it's amazing to witness the growth of your team in art, music, and storytelling 💖

I just realized that Mizi described Sua as _her "God"._
The term _"idol, "_ besides being used to describe those you admire and look up to, (like a celebrity), is also used to describe *false gods, * (like the god humans in this story used to believe in),

*_and they're both idols._*

It's basically genius word play.

The story is even scarier than the previous ones, the animation is beautiful, the song is amazing. I am very happy that you continue to experiment and develop in animation stories
