So for everyone wondering, wtf Edelweiss means in reference to the song. Edelweiss was a flower that grows in mountainous snowy areas. Hense why Till is Albino. But the history behind it in Switzerland is the important part. The Edelweiss was a favorite flower of Hilter but was later used as a symbol for the German resistance against Nazism. They took the flower and used it against Hilter just to spite him! This resistance eventually became known as the "Edelweiss Pirates" and acted as an internal rebellion against Hilter's reign.

So in the context of Alien Stage, Till saying his love for our main girl is a rebellion against a tyrannical force. That it's so deep that he will fight to the death for it and actively defy the system to be with her. It's not just a declaration of love. It is a declaration of war.
