I once had a similar yet very different encounter. In hourglass, I battled a guy that was just sailing away whenever I got close, hoping that after an hour or so, I would get bored and leave, granting him a free win. I just put on One Piece and watched probably 6 episodes until he got angry and started shouting at me to leave over proximity chat. Then he rage quit. Was that funny? Yes. Was it a waste of time? Yes. Was it worth it. Hell yeah 😂

I know a legendary ship too, the hampbeard's hauler. This ship is my arch nemesis, the guy who owns it is the biggest nuisance in NA hourglass, making every fight last hours.

When I was grinding for ghost curse, if I met people more than once that were friendly, I'd swap loses with them. Loss farming is more fun when you ask to roll, a lot of people will be down for it.

I recently got to 200 in sof and 105 in gof and have no intention to go for gold curses/200 gof, but occasionally when I have nobody else on and nothing else to do i'll go down to give free wins/flags to help others get there curses. It always feels nice to help others get through this long grind

I was rolling with an open crew galleon earlier, two players spawn in, toss all my loot and supplies in the ocean. Then proceed to set my ship on fire before exiting the server. I was heartbroken but didnt want to quit so while i was bucketing the fire a solo sloop sailed by, asked me if i needed help, and went on his way. Just a crazy experience all around.

interactions like this are what imma miss now that pve was added. but at the same time i genuinely cant be fucked with how toxic most of the people playing the game are. most interactions with other players are just sweaty tryhards to the point i've just started tossing loot overboard while running away and then scuttling. i just cant be bothered to deal with it anymore which sucks.

That's pretty baller. I just get into half our slugfests that end either because I'm better at repairs and bilging than my opponents are or they board me and keep me occupied until my ship sinks.
