I absolutely love steam engine trains.... I plan on heading overseas to take a trip on some of the few steam trains still running these These trains were the workhorses of the past that helped bring us into the future!

If I could I would display a stram locomotive in my front yard. The wife says 👎 . So I have a vintage whistle from a steamer connected to my air compressor in the garage. 🍻 👏

As a mechanical engineer steam locomotives are one of the greatest inventions of all time. The complexity of them for the time is impressive.

I'm an American and I can say I think the Mallard is one of if not the most beautiful passenger hauling steam locomotive in the world!. If I'm not mistaken it was also nicknamed the blue goose lol. She's beautiful.

I agree that the Q2, Challenger, S1, Allegheny, Y Class, and the Big Boy are beautiful

2:28 That’s not the end of the story for 3985. In November UP did an equipment move including TWO steam engines one of those being 3985 and both steam locos are being fully restored to excursion service or tourist trains

I’m not very fond of foreign railroading in general. But I’m very happy they have preserved some of their historic equipment like the Flying Scotsman., and have them in museums or operational.

Flying Scotsman IS NOT undergoing restoration work, it is based at Bury on the East Lancashire Railway in Greater Manchester and is operational. She is RARELY at York

Sadly you went from talking about locomotive classes in the US which is good but when you got to the UK you talked about train services, not locomotive classes.
A train and a locomotive are two seperate entities.

12:28 The Scarborough Flyer is NOT a steam train. That green and black engine is called Duchess of Sutherland, she doesn’t pull The Scarborough Flyer and as of 2018, she is red and black.

As a local, I've never heard anyone pronounce Scarborough like that.
