I was able to see Bill Nye speak at the 2017 eclipse in Nebraska. It was an amazing day. I understand what he means when he says a scientific and a spiritual experience are closely related.

I’m so happy Bill Nye has continued on such a great path. Saw him once at a bicycle shop in Seattle when he came in; my brother-in-law work there. He hasn’t changed much at all.

I like how Bill gave the Vulcan hand greeting.😊

I drove an hour each way to be at the edge of totality in 1979. It was totally worth it! A scientific and spiritual experience. Something I will never forget.

I would love to meet Bill Nye, he is like the science Mr. Rogers.

I lived in East Tennessee back in 2017, and our town was in the path of totality. It was an awesome event. I got to take pictures and enjoy the view. I learned that the best way to take a picture with your phone is by using the selfie camera. It worked great. I posted one of them to my profile picture.

I live in Minnesota now, and we’re supposed to get about 75%, but it’s gonna be raining most of the day.

For those who try to denigrate Nye by saying he's not a scientist:
Bill Nye has received honorary doctorate of science degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Johns Hopkins University, Willamette University, Rutgers University, and Simon Fraser University.
They don't pass those out like they were paper towel rolls.

Bill Nye is simply the BEST guy. So loose, fun, not overly serious yet not making science a bloody joke, and he's been doin' this stuff for DECADES. :) I still cannot believe that as a friggin' CHILD, I was watching this guy's insane little chemistry lab segments... and now, here I am like 30+ years later seeing him describe the path of totality on an Eclipse. Marvelous.

FYI, I'm in California, so... *ARG*! lol

Why doesn't CNN just pay the Photographer "thousands" of dollars (aka: a fair price, aka: a big deal to them, but a pittance to you) so you can show the photos? Are you on a budget? Why not help the photographer get paid and help them get a bit of recognition in the process?
