Every American's Social Security number, address may have been stolen in hack

After a group of hackers claimed to have stolen personal information several months ago from a data broker, a member of the group reportedly shared most of the sensitive data on an online forum for stolen data. FOX 5's Josh Rosenthal has more.

Social Security Numbers were created for SOCIAL SECURITY, not to act as an identification, and were for many years illegal to use for identification. Now EVERYWHERE you go someone's asking for your number, or at least the last 4 digets. This needs to end.

Its worse here, our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.

These hacking incidents are getting out of hand. Banks, credit cards, auto dealerships, nearly every business has been sending out letters recently saying they have been compromised.

I’m on Social Security and Medicare. The thing that happens is yes we got a three point whatever percent increase last year but my Medicare part B payment also went up by $60 a month more than my cola so I actually took a $60 a month cut. I literally made best decisions when i started working with an advisor
